Have you ever wanted to learn how to print beautiful one of a kind papers in the comfort of your own home? The answer is the Gelli Plate! Have you bought a Gelli Plate and tried printing at home and been disappointed with the results? Do you now have yet another art supply that you are unsure how to use effectively? I am here to show you how to get the best results from this big block of jelly! I promise that once you get the hang of it you will be as hooked on them as I am. This workshop has been designed to suit beginners and more experienced artists who will also take away new skills to enhance their artwork. Learn how to print with a cohesive colour palette and design elements. Experiment with different papers to get a variety of different collage papers to use in future projects. Discover what mark making tools you can use on the Gelli Plate to create unique backgrounds. You will learn how to create your own unique stencils from a simple sheet of photocopy paper. Learn how to incorporate paint pens into your designs using the Gelli Plate. On completion of your prints you will be shown how to mount your favourite design to a canvas and add final details to make your design pop! The original artwork will be yours to keep along with any papers you have printed throughout the workshop.
