Beginners Lino print workshop

Description

This 3-hour hands-on workshop is perfect for complete beginners. You will be guided step by step through the process of designing, carving, and printing your own lino block.

We’ll start by trying out various carving tools and exploring basic cutting techniques. You’ll create a small practice block to experiment with mark-making and quickly build confidence using the tools.

Feel free to bring your own images to work from, though plenty of inspiration will be available on the day. You’ll learn how to develop your design for print, transfer it onto your lino block, ink it up, and hand-burnish your prints.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have produced a small edition of your own prints, along with the knowledge and skills to continue your lino printing journey at home.
